My name is Jen Bluekissed, and I'm a writer of erotic romance and erotica.
I'm tired of reading author bio pages on other writers' websites that say the same thing. I won't tell you I've always dreamed of being a writer. Nor will I tell you that I developed an interest in penning fiction at the age of six.
When I was six years old, I wanted to be Roman Catholic nun. Not only did I want to be a nun, I wanted to be cloistered nun: the kind who take the vow of silence and never speak.
Somewhere around junior high/high school, I realized I liked talking too much to take the vow of silence. Naturally, I decided at that point in my life that the next best choice was to be a missionary nun.
A little bit after that, I saw the movie, The Nun's Story, starring Audrey Hepburn. The scene in the sanitarium with the women in the bathtub freaked me out, not to mention the possiblity of contracting malaria in the Congo. So, I decided that the next logical choice would to aspire to one day be a teaching nun.
Next came college. I majored in English, Spanish, and secondary education. So far so good, right? I was on my way to becoming a teaching nun until two things happened. First, I realized everybody I ever met who told me my hormones would kick in was right. Second, I had too much college debt for a convent to take me. The whole vow of poverty thing is for a reason. Convents can't afford to pay off student loan debt, and nuns don't exactly earn scads of money with which to pay back student loans.
The end result was that I realized I was more suited to get married and to write steamy stories. All that pent up desire for years is now being put to good use.
Sometime in the near future I intend to write more about myself on this page such as listing of hobbies, favorite bands, restaurants, etc. Check back soon!
